Our retreats are designed to be memorable, vulnerable, enjoyable, and undeniably impactful to each and every attendee. Capped at no more than 20 guests, these retreats are a time to disconnect with the world, regain a connection with God, and dive deep into what the Bible has to say about grief. All of that, and then an unlimited supply of honest conversations, delicious food, and life-long memories.

WHAT’S IT LIKE AT A RETREAT?
Each retreat is designed to help men connect with each other, with God, and to give them an experience that serves as a mile-marker on their journey in healing.
RETREAT FAQS
WHAT IS A CHRISTIAN GRIEF RETREAT?
The sole focus of each retreat we host will be for men to engage God in the midst of their grief, hear who they are while they carry it, and allow Jesus to invite them into a new sense of belonging.
We will spend time learning, worshipping, praying, sharing meals, adventuring, late-night conversations, making memories, and forging relationships that will last a lifetime.
WHO CAN ATTEND THE RETREATS?
Almost every retreat is available to men who have suffered any unexpected loss (parent, spouse, sibling, child) at any stage of life. We host a retreat every January/February specifically for men who have lost a child late in pregnancy, at birth, or beyond.
DO I HAVE TO SHARE MY STORY?
Our goal is for these retreats to spur you into vulnerability with your new brothers in Christ. While sharing isn’t required, it’s a natural byproduct of the culture of who we are as an organization.
WHAT IF I’M NOT READY TO TALK ABOUT MY GRIEF?
Still come and join us; you’d be surprised at how comfortable you’ll feel from the start.
HOW MUCH DOES THIS RETREAT COST?
With many thanks to our generous donors and sponsors, this retreat will be free of charge for anyone who gets a spot. Registration is first come, first served, so join the waitlist to ensure you grab your spot! You will be responsible for your own travel to/from the retreat location in Carlton Landing, OK.
IS THERE ALCOHOL?
The Beacon Project is a dry organization. Any event that we host will be void of any alcoholic beverages so as not to cause a brother to stumble (Romans 14:21) in the midst of their grief.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
Carlton Landing, OK is a small resort town located a little over 1.5 hours from Tulsa International Airport. If you choose to fly and need help getting there, let us know beforehand, and we can help coordinate. You may also choose to rent a car and drive from the airport at your own expense.
IS THERE SUPPORT AFTER THE RETREAT ENDS?
Yes! Every retreat group will be added to a private communication channel to remain connected to one another.
